The Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (“APRRC”) is an annual conference hosted by a Rotaract District from a member country within the Asia Pacific region. With 48 countries within the Asia Pacific region, the APRRC has travelled to countries such as the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan and our very own, Malaysia.
The aim of this conference is to bring Rotaractors from around the Asia Pacific region to one venue, with the objective of establishing a common ground for discussions as well as offering a platform for the sharing of views and ideas. This is to encourage and challenge participants to develop these views and ideas into action that will benefit the future.
APRRC serves as a platform for Rotaractors to meet and learn in an environment framed by the ideals of service and progress. It is culminated in the signing of a pact among the various districts and Rotary representatives that ensures closer collaboration and stronger fellowship between clubs and districts within the Asia Pacific region.
The belief of bidding for the 2020 APRRC is that Malaysia has various cultural and traditional experiences to offer. That, coupled with the fact that the last APRRC was held in Malaysia in 2007, the Rotaractors of the Rotaract District 3300 Malaysia sincerely hopes that with your assistance, this annual conference will be a success like never before.
From past APRRCs, the average turn-out of participants were from 800 to 1000 with participants coming from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, Macau, Singapore, Japan, Guam, Mongolia, China, Thailand, South Korea and Australia. While the majority of the participants were Rotaractors from the age group of 23 to 30 years old, Rotarians were also present to support the event. For APRRC 2020, we will be inviting the Rotary International President to attend our event in hopes of putting Malaysia on the Rotary International map.
